From How to Get Out of Debt Well you probably already now just by the name I was looking up, Richard Brennan. I was scammed of course by the above so call credit relief helper when he scammed over 9,000.00 dollars. Yes I said 9,000.00 dollars. The worst about the whole thing is I am just a middle class worker who is in debt and still is hoping this was my answer. I was told to get hold of the Maryland consumers protection and file a complaint to help get my money back. However they are just as bad. I got no call back and no information. They did email me a case number but with no information. Along with this email was a statement that asked me not to call them secondary to their extreme business. Well after 6months I’d call and email almost every 2nd day and no information. A year later I got through to them and they said my case was closed. They gave me a name to call about this and guess what I couldn’t get hold of that individual either. Is there any way I can get this money back. Here I thought I was on my way of getting out of debt, and now I am in further debt because of this man who took my money and didn’t pay one creditor. This is been going on now for 5 years of trying to get my money back. From How to Get Out of Debt My tenant in Dubai is in the middle of a one year tenancy agreement under which four post dated cheques were issued. Only one cheque has been honoured and two have bounced. I have sent him numerous polite requests to pay in cash. No answer. I am an absentee UK landlord of an apartment in JLT (Dubai) and two rent cheques issued by my tenant have bounced. I have sent the tenant several emails and made several unsuccessful telephone calls requesting cash payment. What recourse do I have to evict the tenant and recover the outstanding monies without having to travel to Dubai? Can I file a police case for bounced cheques in absentia?
